AU where Luo Binghe is actually Shang Qinghua's son. Shang Qinghua has a one night stand with hot demon lord Tianlang-Jun, and the system decides to change up the story to make Shang Qinghua pregnant with the protagonist. Because of this Tianlang-Jun eventually ends up with Su Xiyan, who does not die this time because she isn't pregnant. (She and Shang Qinghua can become friends and does not mind that he is carrying her lover's child). Eventually Mobei-Jun comes into the picture, upset that his servant has been seeing other demons (Shang Qinghua has to reassure him that he's still completely loyal to Mobei-Jun, it's just Tianlang-Jun is really good at the sex. For some reason this does not make things better). Mobei-Jun decides to be the best step dad and tries to out dad Tianlang-Jun (and hints how he could totally be a better lover than he was).

Meanwhile Shang Qinghua tries to avoid the death flags that comes with being the protagonist's mother, and it eventually comes to him being kidnapped by the Hua Huan Palace Master, but he is saved by his new family, Mobei-Jun+Tianlang-Jun+Su Xiyan, and maybe some of his sect siblings because they've learned to appreciate him (and maybe they're a little afraid that the sect might fall apart without him)

And they all live happily ever after!

(Years down the line when Luo Binghe is an adult, and the system decides to spit out Shen Yuan who is very confused with what happened with PIDW. Shang Qinghua is fine with his son falling in love with his favorite anti-fan because he knows no one will love him more than peerless cucumber does)

I don't know in what context this could happen but SQQ and SQH playing Red Hands.

(That's that game, you know the one, where you put your hands out on your friend's hands and they try to slap you and once they succeed you swap? It has a million names)

The important part is that LBH and MBJ are there with them and at first have no idea what their humans are doing.

Does LBH maybe make a move to kill SQH when he first succeeds in slapping Shizun's hands? Maybe. But SQQ's hissed out, "Ssssssson of a bitch" stops him long enough for the humans to swap positions and for SQQ to start menacing.

Because I think a game of Red Hands between SQQ and SQH would be like, 90% psychological warfare and that it would get both their demon lords a little worked up.

"This is the scariest thing that's ever happened to me."

SQH flinches. SQQ's hands don't move.

Thinking about third transmigrator fic ideas again and I remain intrigued by the concept of a person being shoved into the role of Mobei-Jun's mom. Stuck in a love angle between Linguang-Jun and Mobei-Jun's father, whatever the fuck went down there, sounds like a nightmare.

But I'm also intrigued by it from a character work perspective, because whatever potential fix-its or break-its that I might be tempted to apply, I'd still want this situation to produce a Mobei-Jun who is still believable and recognizable as himself: fucked-up and non-human. What do you even call this childhood experience? Being a "second-gen transmigrator"? Not fun.

Also, I want to create a setup solely for this comedic jump-scare situation:

Airplane, cursing under his breath in English (he's not fluent by any means) because f-bombs are great and no one knows what he's saying this way: "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"

Mobei-Jun, suddenly, in fluent English: "What the FUCK did you just say?"

i just want pathetic simp mbj who will do anything to prevent sqh from running off again, brick wall of a man who is soft to 1 (one) pathetic little guy. presenting him with over the top courting gifts and rare warm furs, and putting him in his adjoining spousal chambers before even getting married (so scandalous!), and learning to cook noodles even tho ur a king and having fireplaces built in ur literal ice palace so ur weak little human can stay warm. all while refusing to say the words "i love you" and therefore forcing the two of u to exist in an agonizing situationship (shang "overthinker final boss" qinghua vs mo "0 communication skills" bei jun)

and ofc sqh does not understand his intentions at all but he sure is happy to be spoiled! see! his king DOES appreciate him! hey ill do more work so this can keep happening! im ur loyal servant my king!!! (sqh is fully decked out like hes his wife, tales r told throughout the land abt sqh playing ultimate hard to get and mbj being the worlds most desperate simp)

More plots I can’t get out of my head:

Dragon/dragon rider fantasy story told from the point of view of the dragon, who absolutely views its squishy little mortal human pet as the cutest fucking thing ever.

Lou Binghe just being absolutely terrifying and rare and powerful and DRAGON! And then here is this very strait laced proper and dignified Shen Quingqiu as his rider, rather concerned about how absolutely smitten (and terrifying) his dragon is for him and refusing to even look at any of the female dragons they try to match with him. LBH not liking the idea of any other humans or dragons sharing the same space as them. Blocking others with his tail or his wings when they try to interrupt him looking lovingly at his rider, while feigning it as a clumsy accident. Always making sure it’s human is safe and comfortable on its back before taking flight, though not before accidentally undoing the work sometimes so it’s human has to spend more time on him. Hunting? This dragon is so incapable of hunting! His claws are too blunt, his teeth too baby, his muscles too small to successfully kill anything it catches! (All a lie to anyone with eyes.) If only it’s strong and capable human would kill the deer he felled and… maybe prepare it for him? Perhaps give it to this unworthy dragon as a gift to prove how strong and powerful it is? Oh! Such a strong and powerful human! Yes it is!

And then, on the other side of things there is Mobei Jun, a massive and terrifying ice dragon that, for reasons no one can properly understand, has picked the weakest and most pathetic rider of the batch, and seems to enjoy pinning him under his claw like a cat toying with a mouse while the poor rider (does he even count as a rider when the dragon prefers to drag him around by the claw like a prized possession instead of allow him on his back most days?)begs for mercy. Nobody intervenes mostly out of fear of what happened to the last person who tried to rescue the poor rider from the bullying. And if he tries to hide, the dragon has been known to sniff him out and peal open the roof of the house he is trying to recover in just to drag him off and bat him around as punishment for his defiance.

SVSSS AU where due to dimension shenanigans Shang Qinghua gets to meet alternative versions of himself. Including notable figures such as Original Flavour SQH and the SQH who did take the rock route when he first met MBJ :)) OG!SQH is much more proper and peak-lordy looking then our local hamster and is just so so grossed out by the demon loving SQH's. Why on Earth is a version of himself Married to Mobei-Jun? and the other one is fawning over him too! Like you willing chose to be into that fucking thing? at least one of them managed to kill the demon...

Meanwhile Rock-hua (Who is much more scarred and physically inclined since he didn't have a MBJ to call on whenever he got into trouble) is looking at Mobei-Jun like "Ah, it's nice to see him again, especially with his head in one piece :))"

Mobei-Jun is very conflicted about everything that's going on.

Unhinged scumcum AU.

Hear me out it's a Pride and Prejudice AU with scumcum. SY is Elizabeth and SJ is Darcy. It would be super cute to have it set in the og P&P setting bc of the outfits BUT also cultivator setting would go so hard too. I can picture it so clearly in my head lol. SJ in this AU would still be at Cang Qiong as a peak lord and SY would be another peak lord at a peak that is traveling for the Immortal Alliance Conference (and really wants the status of being bbuddy buddy with Cang Qiong). And Cang Qiong is trying to get all buddy buddy with this other peak bc DUH posturing. And being as SJ is supposed to be the peak lord that helps deals with outer peak relationships everyone looks to SJ to be nice to the other peaks' relation guy. And it ends up being SY. BUT on the first meeting SY says something that seems very backhanded to SJ and SJ on the defensive says something backhanded back.

Now both of them are glaring at each other and needs to get pulled away before a very undignified fight breaks out. This is course become the hottest gossip amongst the cultivators. Bigger than when that one heavenly demon was able to swoon away the Huan Hua's head disciple. Throughout the conference they keep bumping into each other and trying to bite each other's heads off.

Of course then SY's peak hears that the Heavenly demon's son is also attending the conference and now they are pushing SY to get buddy buddy with LBH to bolster demon/human alliance. (yes i am having LBH be Mr. Collins but like with the vibe from the Mr. Collins from the P&P& zombies movie bc that would be peak comedy)

More P&P plot stuff happens and 100% the lake scene is in there and so is the hand one bc it really wouldn't be a P&P AU without it. And the YEARING OH GOD THE YEARING would be on like steroids. Anyways is this like a crazy AU? Like does this even make sense?? Idk. Might draw it later if I have the energy.

sqh cooking his own noodles in the dead of night, hunched over the stove. mbj has served him 7 bowls of frozen noodles in the past 2 days. he's paranoid, every sound making him jump. he really doesn't want to hurt mbj's feelings. he finishes his noodles. he takes them off the stove, they freeze instantly. he lets out a single tear. that's what you get for trying to cook hot food in the northern kingdom. it occurs to him in that moment that maybe he should get mbj to take them on vacation. unbeknownst to him, mbj has been watching this whole time, hoping sqh has figured out how to get around the instafreeze. when the noodles freeze, all his hope are dashed. he considers that he should maybe take sqh on vacation. neither of them ever bring up the vacation.

people should write more horrible characters as protagonists. as a reader it really makes u think how far u r willing to let things go. and i don't mean horrible as in genocidal levels of bad cause we all know theoretically that it's not a good thing. horrible characters as in someone who is not a good person. u think u root for them bc they are a person and they are trying. u say u sympathise bc u understand why they are who they are. yet, at the end of the day, they purposely do bad things and u still love them knowing the consequence of their actions. and it really makes you think.
